Waterloo Region Home Sales Slow Despite Rising Listings

Home sales across Waterloo Region fell in 2025, even as more homes entered the market. Over 6,000 properties were sold, down nearly 9 per cent from the previous year. December sales also declined, while homes took longer to sell. Average prices dropped close to 6 per cent, creating better conditions for first-time buyers. Experts expect a more stable housing market in 2026, supported by new government incentives.
