Three Men Charged in Series of Vape Store Break-Ins Across Southern Ontario

Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) have charged three men following an investigation into a series of break-and-enters targeting vape stores across southern Ontario.

Police say the investigation began after multiple vape shop break-ins were reported in Kitchener in October 2025. As the case progressed, WRPS worked with police services in several jurisdictions and linked the incidents to similar thefts in Niagara, Hamilton, Guelph, and London.

In total, five break-and-enters occurred in Waterloo Region, according to police.

On January 5, WRPS officers executed search warrants at a storage unit and a residence in Brampton. One suspect was arrested at that time, and officers recovered stolen property believed to be connected to the investigation. Later the same day, Peel Regional Police arrested a second suspect and seized a vehicle that was reportedly filled with suspected stolen merchandise.

A third suspect was arrested on January 9 by Guelph Police after being located in a stolen vehicle.

Police have charged a 31-year-old and a 30-year-old man, both from Brampton, with multiple offences, including break and enter, possession of stolen property over $5,000, disguise with intent, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, and failing to comply with release orders.

A 32-year-old Brampton man faces charges including break and enter, disguise with intent, and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.

WRPS say additional charges are expected as investigations continue in other jurisdictions.
