Snow, Ice Pellets Possible in Waterloo Region as Boxing Day Weather Alert Issued

A special weather statement is in effect for Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge, with snow, ice pellets, and possible freezing rain expected throughout Boxing Day.
Up to 5 cm of accumulation is possible by evening, and icy roads and sidewalks may develop as precipitation types shift. Similar conditions are forecast across southern Ontario, including Peel, Halton, Hamilton, and Niagara.
Temperatures will stay cold, with a high near –9°C and wind chills making it feel closer to –18°C. Residents are advised to drive carefully, plan ahead, and stay updated as conditions change.
