Senior Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Lexington Road in Waterloo

A senior driver was seriously injured after two SUVs collided on Lexington Road in Waterloo on Wednesday afternoon.

Waterloo Regional Police say the crash happened around 2:40 p.m. between Davenport Road and Anndale Road, forcing a section of Lexington Road to close for several hours. The 81-year-old driver of a Honda SUV was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver and passengers in a Maserati SUV were not hurt.

No charges have been announced, and police are asking witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward as the investigation continues.
