Pizza Delivery Driver Threatened With Gun and Knife in Waterloo Attempted Carjacking

Waterloo, ON — Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in Waterloo after a pizza delivery driver was threatened with a gun and a knife late Monday night.
The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Albert Street near Quiet Place. Waterloo Regional Police say three suspects confronted the driver and demanded the vehicle. One suspect reportedly showed a firearm, while another held a knife.
The suspects were unable to steal the vehicle after discovering it was a manual transmission, and they fled on foot toward Weber Street North. No injuries were reported.
Police are asking residents and drivers in the area to check security or dashcam footage and contact WRPS if they have information.
