Canada Eliminated by Czechia, Heads to Bronze Game at World Juniors

Canada’s bid for world junior gold ended Sunday with a 6–4 semifinal loss to Czechia. Tomas Poletin scored the game-winning goal late in the third period as the Czechs advanced to the championship final.
Despite goals from Tij Iginla, Zayne Parekh, Porter Martone, and Cole Reschny, Canada struggled at five-on-five play. Czechia will face Sweden for gold, while Canada meets Finland in the bronze-medal game.
