Cambridge Snow Event Declared: No On-Street Parking Until Jan. 6
The City of Cambridge has declared a snow event effective Monday at noon through Tuesday at noon, temporarily banning all on-street parking to support snow removal efforts.
Vehicles parked on city streets during the snow event risk being ticketed or towed, as crews work to clear roads following Monday’s snowfall. The move comes after a tricky morning commute, with several centimetres of snow falling across the region.
Although a weather advisory for 5–10 cm of snow was lifted early Monday morning, cleanup operations are ongoing. The city is asking residents to wait 36 hours after the snow event ends before reporting unplowed areas.
Drivers should plan ahead, find off-street parking, and remain alert as winter weather continues across Waterloo Region.
