Two Women Injured in Targeted Stabbing at Cambridge Hotel, Police Seek Suspect

Regional police are continuing to search for a suspect following a stabbing incident at a hotel in Cambridge that left two women injured. The incident occurred Tuesday night at approximately 9:20 p.m. near the intersection of Hespeler Road and Pinebush Road.
Police say officers were called to the hotel after reports of an assault involving a man and two women. Investigators allege that during an argument, the suspect assaulted both women with an edged weapon before fleeing the scene. Authorities have confirmed the incident was targeted and not a random act.
Both women sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospitals outside the region for treatment. No further details about their condition have been released.
Waterloo Regional Police are seeking to identify and speak with a man believed to be connected to the incident. The suspect is described as a Black male in his 30s, approximately 5’7” to 5’8” tall, with an average build and a moustache. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a hoodie, a brown jacket, and blue pants.
Police have released photos of a man they are looking to identify as part of the ongoing investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information that may assist to contact police at 519-570-9777. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers.
