Lam’s Hat Trick Lifts Rangers to 7‑4 Win Over Owen Sound Attack

The Kitchener Rangers delivered a strong offensive performance in a 7‑4 road win against the Owen Sound Attack on Saturday, Jan. 10. Tanner Lam led the charge with his second career OHL hat trick, earning first‑star honours and powering the Rangers’ high‑scoring night.

Kitchener opened the scoring in the first period when Jack Pridham netted his 24th goal of the season, but the Attack’s Blake Munnings answered late in the frame to tie the game 1‑1.

The second period saw an offensive explosion. In addition to Lam’s two goals, new Ranger Sam O’Reilly scored short‑handed, marking his first goal with the club. Gabriel Chiarot and Pridham also added scores later in the game, while the Attack managed four goals of their own.

Head coach Jussi Ahokas praised the team’s effort, noting it was one of the squad’s most complete performances of the season.

With the win, the Rangers extended their point streak to four games and sit atop the Midwest Division with a 25‑11‑3‑1 record. Kitchener will be off until they host the Saginaw Spirit at the Aud next Friday with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m.
